Managing Director
Miles Woolley leads the team at Environoise Consulting, bringing decades of experience in architectural acoustics. He has developed a strong reputation for his work on new-build designs for major hotel operators and has managed projects for leading brands. His expertise spans a variety of sectors, also including schools, filming stages, multi-storey offices, and mixed-use residential projects.
Miles says: “At Environoise, we focus on more than just delivering exceptional reports; we prioritise a positive work culture with initiatives like the four-day work week, graduate milestones, and regular social events.”
Outside of work, Miles enjoys martial arts, going to the gym, and sampling different vodkas. He is dedicated to driving the business pipeline and ensuring strong employee retention.

Sam Williams
Principal Acoustics Consultant
Sam joined us after completing his MSc in Audio Production and oversees the graduate training scheme. His skillset includes acoustic assessments across planning, architectural and maritime sectors with specialism in noise modelling using SoundPLAN and CATT to accurately predict outdoor noise propagation and how sound behaves indoors and out.
Sam says “Working here is great, the diversity of projects and the team make working here both exciting and an interesting challenge as we continue to grow”
Proud new father and keen mountaineer, climber and runner Sam has some notable sporting feats including completing The Welsh 15 Peaks challenge; a marathon in Athens – oh and he was awarded a 1st Degree black belt in Tang Soo Do Karate… aged just eight years old.

Andrew Brooks
Field Acoustics Lead
With 30 years of experience in audio systems and an MSc in Audio Acoustics from Salford University, Andrew brings a wealth of expertise to Environoise. Prior to his Master’s, he earned a degree in Mathematics and Physics from the Open University, showcasing his commitment to learning. An ANC-accredited sound insulation tester, Andrew has provided façade reviews, plant noise impact assessments, and noise at work assessments – particularly in the maritime sector.
Andrew shares, “Every day at Environoise is different – you’re always made to feel welcome. We take pride in doing things the right way, and it shows in our work.” Outside of consulting, Andrew enjoys spending time with his family sharing their enjoyment of music, cinema, theatre, football, and food.

Edward Beynon
Senior Acoustics Technician
Edward Beynon’s path into acoustics began with an MPhys degree from the University of Liverpool, where his work growing the first crystalline thin films of PtSn₄, is now awaiting publication. His passion for sound started when he taught himself to play bass guitar, sparking his interest in acoustics.
As a Senior Acoustics Technician at Environoise, Edward conducts noise and vibration surveys, performs detailed data analysis, and provides comprehensive acoustic reports.Edward says: “What excites me about Environoise is the variety of acoustic challenges and the chance to learn from the team.”
A keen rugby player, Edward combines technical expertise with a love for problem-solving—and with his smooth, engaging voice, he might be the first person you speak to at Environoise.
